Thing #23 Wrapping Up

Yeah!!! I am so happy I completeted the OCL Web Challenge. I really learned many technical things, but if you do not use them you lose them. Overall I really enjoyed UTube, and the Widgets they were really fun. I think many web sites will be great for the library system because it will make our job much easier.

Thing #22 ListenNJ

I think it is great to be able to listen to book especially if you do a lot of driving. I really enjoy having the book in my hand. Good old fashion reading.

Thing #21 Finding and Listening to Podcast

Listening to a podcast is great because if you missed something you wanted to see it is there for you to view. The one thing I thought that was bad it takes very long to load.

Thing #8 RSS Feeds

I think RSS Feeds is good for the library because it saves with time.

Thing #20 YouTube With Or Without You U2

My son is always on YouTube and that it how I knew about it. I really like it beacuse I enjoy looking up all the music.

Thing #19 Web 2.0

This is a great Web Site because there are so much fun topics to explore. Pandora is a great site if you are a lover of music.

Thing #18 Web Apps.

I think Google Doc is great for the Library because it will help same time for all the meetings and committees.

Thing #17 Play in the Sandbox

I think playing the Sandbox was fun because you can put in color, change the font and add images. It is like you create your own art work. I had a little trouble putting in my link, but once Maggie showed me it seemed so easy.

Thing #16 Wikis

I really enjoyed the presentation on Wikis because he explains it so well with such a sense of humor. Wikipedia is a great tool because it is a great way to share informatiion. The OCL article is also good because it explains all the history of the OCL Library System and if you want to know more about the branches. I did not understand Library Success.

Web 2.0 is a tool in the use of World Wide Web technology and web design. This aims to help find information. These concepts have hosted services, such as social-networking sites, wikis, and blogs. If this is the 2nd generation what would the 3rd be like??????

Thing #14 More Technorati

Technorati is very confusing to me. When I was exploring it I found the lingo was hard to understand. It made it boring and time consuming. I do not think the library would benefit from it.

Thing #13 Delicious

Delicious is great for the library because it will have all your URL favorites on one site. It is so great for reference because it saves so much time. Personally, I would not do it because I do not have the time

I think the Net Library is very good because it will saves a lot of time. I think showing the patrons will be very easy.

World Cat is a great system because it is a fast way to get the request for material for the patron.

On Finding Feeds I really liked the topix.net. Syndic8.com and Technorati I did not enjoy because most them that I search did not have rss link.
